Aurora Gopez (Teologo) Dungca

Aurora Gopez Dungca (nee Teologo), 79, passed away on September 30, 2017. Aurora was born on March 3, 1938 in Meycauayan, Bulacan in the Philippines and was the eldest child of the late Damasa and Demetrio Gopez and sister to the late Rudolfo Gopez and Ernesto Gopez. Aurora graduated from Manila Central University with a bachelor's degree in Nursing.  She emigrated to the United States in 1969, working as a nurse. Aurora was married for 48 years to her beloved "Ely." They really enjoyed traveling to many locations around the world. However, their fondest and happiest memories were those many times spent with their children and grandchildren, as well as their numerous friends, especially in the Filipino communities.  Aurora was also a very devoted member of her faith, Iglesia ni Cristo.

She was predeceased by her husband, Elias S. Dungca, on December 31, 2009.

Aurora was a devoted mother to Elias G. Dungca (Maria Victoria), Elizabeth McCarrick (James), Edwin Dungca (Jeanne), Maria Ellen Dungca-Akgoz, Arnold Dungca, Maria Aurora Dungca; loving grandmother of Brittany Howard (DeAndre), Elijah Dungca, Isaiah Dungca, Antonio Monastra (Monica), Tiffany Monastra, Whitney Bozarth (Thomas), Melanie Monastra, James L. McCarrick, Makayla McCarrick, Jennifer Dungca, Kayli Dungca, Jodi Marie Luera, Sergio Hartzag (Lauren), Alexander Hartzag and Kevin Hartzag, Jr. She is also survived by Julio Gopez (brother), Felicidad Gopez (sister-in-law), and a host of nieces and nephews. She will be truly missed and she was loved by all.

Families, relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing on Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 9:00 - 11:00 A.M. at the Hollen Funeral Home, Inc. 3160 Grant Avenue (West of Academy Road), Philadelphia, PA.

Interment at Locustwood Memorial Park, 1500 Marlton Pike West, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002.
