Catherine Fretz (nee McCarron). August 14, 2018. Age 83 years.

Catherine "Kitty" Fretz (nee McCarron) of Philadelphia passed away on August 14, 2018 surrounded by her family. Kitty was born on August 23, 1934 to the late Charles and Anna (nee Hamilton) McCarron. She was married for 38 years to her beloved husband, the late Gerald William Fretz, Sr. Kitty is survived by her 4 children: Gerald W. Fretz, Jr. (Janice), Charles E. Fretz (MaryAnn), Michael F. Fretz (Christine), and Karen Colbert (Joseph).  She is also survived by 19 grandchildren: Angela, Jonathan, Gloria, Ray, Eric, Samantha, Kelsie, Joseph, John, Michael, Shjon, Jake, Kathryn, Jennah, Luke, Alyssa, Steven, Nicholas and William. She also has 4 great-grandchildren, Nolan, Leighton Mae, Hadley and Chase. Kitty leaves behind 4 siblings: Elizabeth (the late Harry) Sykes, Charles McCarron (Ellen), John McCarron and Nancy Hitchner (Ed), as well as many nieces and nephews.

Kitty will be remembered as a cherished friend. Starting on Delhi Street in St. Stephen’s Parish, her friendships spanned almost eight decades. She graduated from Little Flower High School in 1952. Kitty was an employee of Bell Telephone, as well as a longtime employee of PNC Bank. She was a 50-year resident of Parkwood Manor. Kitty spent much of her free time throughout her life volunteering at St. Anselm Parish, PYO and Frankford Hospital.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing, Saturday, August 18, 2018 from 9:30-10:30 A.M. at Saint Anselm Church, 12670 Dunksferry Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154.

Funeral Mass at 10:30 A.M.

Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
