George A. Broll, 81, July 14, 2023. A lifelong resident of Philadelphia, George was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne (nee Gleba). He is survived by his daughter, Carol Ann Sweeney (Gregg), and sons, George F. Broll (Kimberly Nunlist), and Gerald Broll, and grandchildren, George J., Gerald J., Felicia, Lauren, Jillian, Joseph, Ryan and Jameson. George is also survived by his brothers, Raymond Broll (Mary) and Carl Broll (Linda) and sisters, Kathleen Fulton, Marion Kopta, Regina Hollenbach and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Eleanor Bordwell, twin sister, Florence Rogers, and Margaret Plichter.
George was loved by all who met him and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He especially adored being with his grandchildren. He was a friend to many and enjoyed his time working at the Frankford Arsenal and the Defense Industrial Supply Center (DISC). He was generous with his time and was an active member of his Italian Men's Club, La Famiglia de Fratelli, and Odd Fellow Walker Lodge 306.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 from 8:30 - 10:00 A.M. at St. Jerome's Church, 8100 Colfax Street, Philadelphia, PA 19136. Funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M.
Interment at Resurrection Cemetery.
