Jeremiah A. Spruill

Our Lord and Savior called our dear husband and brother home to rest on the afternoon of Tuesday, November 26, 2019. Jeremiah Allen Spruill took his transitional charge and went to rest with the Lord. 
Jeremiah was born on April 21,1959 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Mary Lee Laughinghouse Spruill. One of nine, he had five brothers and 3 sisters; his brothers Milton Spruill and Ralph Spruill preceded him in death. He was a member of the United New Day Holy Church, and Deliverance Church in his hometown of Philadelphia. 
An attendee of the Philadelphia School System, Jeremiah was an employee of ARC Rainbow, Inc., Burger King, McDonalds, UPS, Special Olympics, AHEDD and many other organizations, where he worked earnestly sharing genuine care, compassion and concern to all who crossed his path. 
In 2003, Jeremiah married Donna Hennessey. They were devoted to each other, enjoyed traveling all around the city  together and those special Sunday dinners with his in-laws including her grandmother. 
Jeremiah was kind hearted, selfless, compassionate and had an infectious smile which could light up any room. He had a huge heart and truly loved his wife and his family. He loved bowling, track, and helping those in need. 
He leaves to reminisce his memory: his wife Donna Hennessey-Spruill; siblings J. Ray Spruill (Adrienne), Wake Forest, NC; Linda Spruill, Philadelphia, PA; Darrell Spruill (Darlene), Rocky Mount, NC; LeVon Garrett (Michael), Minneapolis, MN; Gladys Spruill, Camden, NJ; and Clifford Spruill, unknown location; father in-law Robert Hennessey, Philadelphia, PA, grandmother in-law Helen Beck, Philadelphia, PA; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces, and great great nephews.

Please join us as we celebrate the memories of our dear Jeremiah during a short memorial service from 11:30-1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Hollen Funeral Home, 3160 Grant Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19114.
