Virginia A. Campbell (nee Fluehr), 85, passed away on August 7, 2023. Virginia was born on March 29,1938 to her parents, Virginia Fluehr (Smyth) and Joseph C. Fluehr. She is survived by her children, Maureen (Darryl) Belinski, David (Vanessa), and Tracy (Terry) Cantor. She is survived by her 13 grandchildren, Garrett, Emmarose, Jordin, Samantha, Harrison, Chase, Tiffany, Gabriel, Miranda, Jaelynn, Journey, Khalil and Aleisha. Virginia is also survived by her siblings, Joseph (Betsy), Marilyn, James, Robert, Thomas, Rosemary, Marita (George) Berkelbach, Marsia, Christopher (Lori), Brian (Marianne), Maureen, Mary Beth (Don) Vandiver, Sharon (John) Kleinjan, and Michael (Missy), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Virginia was pre-deceased by her brother, Lawrence.
Virginia grew up in the Mayfair and Torresdale sections of Northeast Philadelphia. She attended St. Matthew's and St. Katherine of Siena Grade Schools and then St. Hubert's Catholic High School for Girls. During these formative years, she loved spending time in Medford Lakes, NJ with family and friends. She had a unique sense of humor and always enjoyed a good laugh. Her academic career continued at Holy Family College. Upon graduation, she worked at Women's Medical and then Holy Redeemer Hospital.
Virginia's children were raised in the Bustleton and Mayfair sections of Northeast Philadelphia. She was always an active swim team volunteer at Maternity B.V.M. and St. Matthew's Grade Schools. Upon moving to Yardley, PA, she continued coaching St. Matthew's Swim Team and became an active member of St. John the Evangelist Parish in Yardley
Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing on Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 10:00 A.M. to Noon at Hollen Funeral Home, Inc., 3160 Grant Avenue (West of Academy Road), Philadelphia, PA 19114. Religious service at Noon.
Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
