Wayne is survived by his beloved and dedicated wife, Jill Drobish, adored son, Christopher, and his loving daughter-in-law, Marissa, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Drobish, and mother, Gloria Schneiderreit.
Wayne was born on September 7, 1952 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and grew up in the Mayfair section. He attended Abraham Lincoln High School, where he met his life-long love, Jill Holloway Drobish, whom he married in 1976. Wayne and Jill were blessed with their son, Christopher, in 1983. He loved spending time with his family, was a loving husband, devoted father and a loyal friend. He will be lovingly remembered for his contagious laughter and smile and will be greatly missed by his family, friends and neighbors.
Wayne initially began his career as an auto mechanic for a car dealership. He knew the ins and outs of every vehicle, eventually retiring in 2009 from the City of Philadelphia as a Heavy-Duty Auto Mechanic. In his spare time, you could often find him in his driveway repairing vehicles of his family and friends.
Wayne had a great passion for baseball, and his favorite pastime was coaching his son, Chris. He played for many years in a softball league and loved baseball so much that he worked as an Umpire for several baseball and softball leagues. One of Wayne's greatest honors was being a member of the Free and Accepted Masons of Philadelphia.
